May 2022 - Lettings update

Another busy month for lettings, which saw yet further rent increases! Will the economic climate cool things down over the busy summer period?

As May comes to end and the country gets ready for the Queens Platinum Jubilee, we take a look back at this months lettings activity across both offices.

Both branches continued to see demand outstrip supply, with a high number of enquiries for each property listed.
As a result we are achieving rent increases on almost every property, the highest monthly increase this month being ÂŁ400! A 2 bedroom property on the Bethnal Green, Haggerston border.

Two properties were let via our internal database where we market before listing on the main property websites.

It will be interesting to see if this trend continues throughout the busy summer period, taking into account the current economic climate and increase to other household bills.
The continued lack of stock would suggest that rents will remain high however, although might start to steady and level out.

We hope everyone enjoys the extended bank holiday and has a great time celebrating the Queens jubilee!
